Terpsichore Tuesday - Gen X with Gabi: The Music from the Movies of John Hughes

Sadly, the Summer of 2009 has seen the passing of some of Generation X's biggest pop culture icons, for example Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and one of the people who truly defined Gen X, filmmaker John Hughes. Hughes showed what it was like to really be a teenager in the mid 1980s in movies like National Lampoon's Vacation, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. I (Gabrielle) can say this, because I was one of those teenagers.

Earlier this month at Kaylee Frye's rezday party, some guest requests inspired me to do a John Hughes Movie Music set. That set has further inspired me...

It's Terpsichore Tuesday, the Gen X with Gabi Edition, so please join me tonight from 6:00pm - 7:30pm SLT in the City of Enoch (http://slurl.com/secondlife/City%20of%20Enoch/94/174/27) as I feature music from the classic teen movies of John Hughes. If you can not join us, please tune in on Radio Riel's Event stream http://event.radioriel.org .

Loved John Hughes' movies myself. I came across this blog entry, and it's not only an amazing tribute to John Hughes, it's one of the most touching things I've read in a long time!
